Wow! Things are starting to perk around our project! Just received two beautiful wool scarves in the mail from Hal - former Navy guy and dear friend. Lady Stephanie, up in Ferndale, has finished two and they are ready to be sent off. She's just waiting for the special WOOL WARRIOR TAGS to arrive. I have sent off one package full of school supplies and one neck sock to a military person in Afghanistan. We wait for his response in that we followed his requests on his ANYSOLDIER.COM website. Patricia is almost finished with her creation. I have done 7 neck socks and two scarves for another soldier to hand out to children he sees who are cold. So, we are moving along! Thanks so much for your cooperation. One drop of love and concern at a time fills a whole bucket! Shirley is posting our blog over at our local library. Kathleen, in Chicago, is spreading the news with her group of library ladies. She's also placed a bulletin notice in her synagogue's newsletter. Ricky, who is a powerful voice in any organization, is sharing this with her church. Joanie designed our card, which is in production over at KINKO'S as I write this. These cards will be sent out to you, upon request, so you can attach them (with a personal note inside) for the soldier to whom you are sending the item or items. Just punch a hole at the top of the card and attach it to your item with a bit of yarn. Let's keep it personal and extend our hearts and hands over the many miles to our military 'kids'.

We are not just talking support; we are doing something about it! GOOD FOR US and thank you, from my heart.

I'll keep you posted. Is anybody out there listening? I'm not sure about this blog business, but both my son and a Lieutenant Colonel told me this was the way to go. So, I'm blogging.
